OT4LIFE is a community-based private pediatric occupational therapy practice in Boca Raton, Florida. Occupational therapy evaluation and treatment takes place in children's homes, parks, gyms, and other settings which promote each child's engagement, participation, and independence with everyday activities utilizing children's naturally-occuring environments and experiences.

Occupational Therapist

Heidi Dakin, MOT, OTR/L

OT4LIFE President & Lead Therapist

​​Heidi Dakin is an occupational therapist who relocated to Florida from San Diego in 2015 when her husband retired from active duty military service in the Army. Heidi has worked with children of all abilities with and without medical diagnoses in a variety of settings in the United States and outside the continental U.S. while exploring the world as a military wife. This includes volunteer roles with speech and occupational therapy practitioners on Guam and in Italy within Department of Defense schools, independent contracting as a respite care provider for the Army Exceptional Family Member Program in Italy, and independent contracting in outpatient pediatric occupational therapy clinics in California and Florida.

Heidi received her Master of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Marcos, California. She has completed post-graduate certification in Sensory Integration through the Spiral Foundation's Program for Essential Competencies in Sensory Integration. Heidi is also Aquatic Therapy and Rehab Institute certified. She has completed continuing education coursework in aquatic-based therapy, feeding, pediatric intensive handling/NDT, self-regulation, executive function skills, and sound-based interventions.

Heidi loves working with children and their families to promote participation and engagement in everyday life, and she looks forward to getting to know you.
